Cookies and trackers
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

E-commerce and Audience Measurement Cookies: Strictly necessary cookies are also used to allow the proper functioning of the store (such as remembering the contents of your shopping cart). Additionally, we use Google Analytics to measure our site’s audience. The management of your consent regarding these non-essential cookies is handled by the CookieYes | GDPR Cookie Consent plugin. You can change your preferences at any time via the cookie settings tool available on the site.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
As part of processing your orders, we may share some of your data with trusted third parties, in strict compliance with regulations:
- Secure payments: We use Stripe and PayPal. During checkout, the data necessary to process the transaction (amount, billing information) is transmitted to them. Your credit card numbers are processed directly by these providers and do not pass in plain text through our servers.
- Site analytics: Anonymized browsing data may be transmitted to Google Analytics (subject to your consent).
- Hosting: Website data is securely hosted by Contabo GmbH.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. In order to comply with the GDPR, customer accounts that have been inactive for more than 3 years are automatically deleted.
Billing data (Legal obligation): Data and documents relating to your orders and billing are kept for a period of 10 years, in accordance with Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, have placed an order, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us (Right to data portability).
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you (Right to erasure). This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal (such as retaining invoices), or security purposes.
To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, or objection, you can contact us by email at: contact@madameshome.fr
Complaint to the Supervisory Authority: If you believe, after contacting us, that your rights are not being respected, you can submit a complaint to the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) at https://www.cnil.fr/en/home.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
The use of tools such as Stripe, PayPal, and Google Analytics may involve the transfer of some of your data outside the European Union (notably to the United States). These providers are committed to complying with adequate security safeguards, as defined by the European Commission (in particular through Standard Contractual Clauses).
